The training package review process
Training packages are subject to constant monitoring and review. All packages must be reviewed and resubmitted for endorsement every three years. Generally, the review process commences 18 months after a package has been endorsed.
The training package review process is conducted in two phases:
Phase one
Feedback on the package is collected from stakeholders over a period of six months. This feedback includes:
- the effectiveness of the training package in meeting industry needs
- any issues and/or problems associated with implementation of the training package.
Phase two
The developer modifies and extends the package based on findings from the first phase. Further limited consultation and validation may occur during this stage, before the reviewed training package is submitted to the National Training Quality Council for evaluation and re-endorsement.
Training providers and participants are encouraged to take part in this process.
