Renewing an accredited course

Accreditation of a course may be reaccredited or extended (without amendment) at the discretion of the Training and Employment Recognition Council.

Depending on the circumstances, renewal of courses can mean an extension for short periods of time, or could involve reaccreditation.

In both cases, evidence from industry and/or support from the relevant industry training advisory body is required to demonstrate that the course continues to meet training needs.

All applications for a course extension or reaccreditation need to be submitted at least three months before the expiry date of the accredited course. Applications outside the three months will be returned to the course copyright owner for submission as a new course.
