Amending an existing accredited course

Where training packages containing national competency standards relevant to an accredited course are revised, or endorsed, the course developer is obliged to amend the course to incorporate the new material from the relevant training packages/competency standards. This is a condition of accreditation.

There are other circumstances which may require the amendment of a course.

There are prescribed timeframes for transitioning students from superseded accredited courses.

Sometimes the changes can affect the scope of registration to deliver the training. It is important to check the registration requirements.

For more information contact the accreditation team. Courses can be amended during their period of accreditation.

Note: an amendment to the course during its period of accreditation does not alter the expiry of accreditation date.

Amendments to an accredited course, including adding or removing units of competency, must be approved before these amendments are implemented.
