Conditions and costs of accreditation

The Training and Employment Recognition Council has the right under the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 to impose conditions on accreditation, or to amend, reassess or cancel the term of accreditation by fair procedures-without an accreditation submission.

Accreditation of a course is normally granted under the condition that it is amended to include any new, relevant, nationally endorsed industry competency standards within 12 months of their availability.

An application fee is payable to the department when a course is submitted for accreditation. This fee is non-refundable once evaluation of the submission has commenced. For more information, refer to Fees schedule for recognition of training services in Queensland [PDF 119kb].
