Renewing your registration

An organisation's registration will expire after a period of five years. If an organisation wishes to continue registration for a further five years it must apply to the Training and Employment Recognition Council.

To apply for renewal of registration, complete the RTO1 [PDF 188kb] form and pay the appropriate fees. It is a legislative requirement that the renewal of registration application be submitted at least three months before the current registration expires.

Be aware that a training organisation cannot issue any qualifications or statements of attainment to students if its registration has expired.

An organisation that applies for renewal of registration will be required to undergo an Australian Quality Training Framework compliance audit.

The renewal of registration fact sheet [PDF 95kb] provides responses to frequently asked questions regarding the renewal of registration process.
