Australian Quality Training Framework industry resource kits
Queensland industry have developed industry resource kits to provide training organisations, industry employers, prospective and existing trainees, apprentices and employees and auditors with current and responsive information and advice regarding the Australian Quality Training Framework Standards in Queensland.
These industry resource kits include:
Automotive
The AQTF industry resource kit developed by Automotive Training Australia (Qld) provides prospective and existing training organisations, auditors, technical advisors and industry representatives with an understanding of how vocational education and training is currently being implemented in the Automotive industry.
Arts Training
With a focus on music, entertainment, film, television, radio and multimedia sectors the Creative Industries Training Advisory Council (CISC) has developed a comprehensive AQTF industry kit to assist existing and potential training organisations comply with the requirements of the AQTF. Community Services
The Queensland Community Services and Health Industry Advisory Body provides detailed information about training in the community services and health industry. Specific information is also provided on the following sectors:

Construction Skills Queensland is the principal advisor on training needs for the building and construction industry in Queensland. Light Manufacturing
The Creative Industries Training Advisory Council has formulated an AQTF kit designed to assist the many sectors within the Light Manufacturing (textile, footwear and clothing) industry. Queensland Utilities and Services Industry Training Advisory Body
The Australian Quality Training Framework industry resource kit developed by the Queensland Utilities and Services Industry Training Advisory Body provides current and potential registered training organisations with strategies and tools to prepare them for an Australian Quality Training Framework compliance audit. Queensland Tourism Industry Council (formerly Tourism Training Queensland) has developed an Australian Quality Training Framework industry resource kit for the hospitality, tourism and caravanning sectors to provide prospective and existing training organisations, auditors, technical advisors and industry representatives with an understanding of how vocational education and training is currently being implemented in the tourism industry. Each of the industry resource kits aims to meet a range of industry-specific, Australian Quality Training Framework related, information needs for both training organisations and auditors, including:
For training organisations
- provide assistance with compliance against the Australian Quality Training Framework from an industry perspective (i.e. standards for registered training organisations, particularly 2, 7, 8 and 9)
- allow for training organisations to gain a better understanding of current industry requirements and good practice ideas for the delivery and assessment of training under the Australian Quality Training Framework
- provide a mechanism that fosters training organisations seeking to develop closer links with local industry, as required in Australian Quality Training Framework standard 9.
For industry employers, prospective and existing trainees, apprentices and employees
- provide current information about industry trends and practices
For auditors
A fundamental element of an auditor's task is to determine that appropriate industry consultation has taken place between a training organisation and the industry or industries it services. To assist auditors with this and other tasks, industry information has been developed by each state-based industry training advisory body to:
- provide assistance with the development of effective delivery and assessment strategies for auditors
- provide assistance with the interpretation and presentation of evidence gathered during audit and registration.
