Programs, strategies and policies

The Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts implements, facilitates and provides a range of programs, services and initiatives targeted at achieving the key outcomes of the department's vision.

The department continues to deliver on the Queensland Government's Smart State objectives through its vision of Queenslanders excelling in learning, skilling and work for personal, community and economic prosperity. These objectives are also supported by the department's strategic intent to skill Queenslanders for employment and to build the social and economic capacity of communities.

The Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts also contributes to national objectives, such as those outlined in the national strategy for vocational education and training. The department takes a proactive role in the international community and offers an international project consultancy service to assist businesses and government agencies to design, implement, evaluate and monitor vocational education, training and employment systems.
