Trade licensing

Aviation

Some information is provided through the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

Electrical and metal trades

To have your skills recognised in electrical, engineering and metal trades contact Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) on (07) 3223 1425 or (07) 3223 1423.

Electrical licensing

To work as an electrician you must be licensed. Contact the Electrical Safety Office (ESO) on 1300 362 320 or (07) 3247 9437.

Construction trades

If you are in the building and construction industry, contact Construction Skills Queensland on 1800 798 488 or go to www.beconstructive.com.au to find out how you can be assessed and recognised for your skills.

Construction licensing

If you are employed in the construction industry, you may need licensing in your trade. You can contact the Queensland Building Services Authority (BSA) on (07) 3225 2855 for information on licensing in the construction industry.

Plumbers and drainers industry

For recognition and licensing in the plumbing and draining industry contact the Plumbers and Drainers Examinations and Licensing Board on (07) 3235 4149.
