Skill Centre Grants
The Queensland Department of Employment and Training administers funds on behalf of the Department of Education, Science and Training for the establishment or fit-out of skill centres across Queensland.
Skill centres allow for the flexible delivery of vocational education and training throughout Queensland . Skill centres are important in areas where TAFE does not provide such facilities, or in niche training markets not being met by TAFE delivery, or where the establishment of such a facility would complement training delivered by the local TAFE institute.
Funding is available for three types of skill centres:
- industry-based skill centres - read the infrastructure program guidelines [PDF 530kb]
- skill centres for school students - read the infrastructure program guidelines [PDF 530kb]
- skill centres for indigenous people - read the indigenous program guidelines [PDF 37kb]
