Advanced Manufacturing Plan
Workplace Excellence Program
Under its 2004 election commitments, the Queensland Government is implementing an Advanced Manufacturing Plan, which aims to further enhance the competitiveness of the state's manufacturing industry and establish Queensland as the leading state for value-added manufacturing growth in the nation. The Plan's central focus is on skills, training and workforce development.
A key component of the Advanced Manufacturing Plan is the Workplace Excellence Program which aims to develop a highly skilled workforce. The Workplace Excellence Program provides $3.5 million in new funding for two initiatives:
