Vocational Education and Training Disability Support Service
The Vocational Education and Training Disability Support Service provides support for eligible students with a disability who are undertaking off-the-job training funded by the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts. This service includes:
- assessment of the student's learning support requirements
- adaptive equipment, and training in its use (software, ergonomic furniture etc)
- personal support services (sign language interpreters, specialist support workers, carers etc).
Who is eligible?
Students with a disability who are undertaking off-the-job training funded by the Department of Education, Training and the Arts may be eligible for support. Students should check with the disability officer at their registered training organisation as some conditions apply
How to apply
Ask your registered training organisation to complete an application form on your behalf.
How much?
The amount of support provided will vary, and is based on the individual requirements of the student. There is no cost to the student or the training organisation.
