Travel and accommodation allowance for apprentices and trainees
Apprentices and trainees who have to travel to attend courses in relation to their training program may be eligible for a travel and accommodation allowance. This allowance is paid to the apprentice or trainee after each period of course instruction.

Who can apply?
Registered Queensland apprentices and trainees who live more than 50 kilometres one-way from where the registered training organisation provides the training may be eligible for an allowance.
The apprentice or trainee will only be entitled to allowances equivalent to that provided for attendance at the closest training provider that delivers the course of instruction for the particular training program.
This distance is measured from the apprentice's or trainee's usual place of residence. This may not be a home address if he or she usually lives away from home to attend work.
