Funding and incentives

Through the Department of Education, Training and the Arts the state government aims to work with industry, registered training organisations, community organisations and communities to create more and better jobs, and to continue skilling and upskilling Queensland's workforce.

To achieve this, each year the department makes available funding to eligible organisations and individuals across the state.

For individuals
Financial support and practical assistance for jobseekers, students, indigenous Australians, people with a disability, apprentices and trainees, workers and grants for youth for community involvement.

For business and employers
Funding and incentives available to put on an apprentice or trainee, train your staff or hire a mature aged jobseeker or individual with special needs.

For training organisations
Funding information on Adult Learners' Week, Youth Access and the Strategic Priority Purchasing Program. Link to our partner site for User Choice and funding and tender opportunities.

For schools
Funding available to schools who are registered training providers including User Choice.

For community organisations
Financial support and assistance available for adult learners' week events and the coordination of youth , employment and skills development programs including community employment programs.

For public sector
Funding available for state and local government agencies for community employment, training and youth programs. Subsidies to employ apprentices and trainees.

Government-funded programs
Increase your job opportunities and improve your skills through community jobs programs and community employment assistance programs or apply for funding to run a program.
