Short courses
There are a number of short courses that can help you start or further your career. You can choose to do a short course which you can complete in just a few weeks or months - for example, you could enrol in a six-week computer program course to gain job-ready skills or a 10-week Certificate II in Business to brush up your business skills. Learn only what you need to
You do not always need to gain a complete qualification to build a successful career. This is especially true for people who are already in the workforce or who have been in it before. Completing a component (that is, a module or unit) or two within a qualification is a quick and easy way to obtain the skills you need or upgrade the skills you already have.
You may also want to select components from a number of courses, ensuring that what you are studying is relevant to you and the career path you want to take.
A statement of attainment will be issued on successful completion of any components. You can use this statement for employment purposes or for entry or credit into further study. Find a course.
Adult and community education
Adult and community education programs offer non-accredited, fee-for-service, short courses to upgrade skills and cultivate creative talents on a part-time basis. Typically, courses run for a couple of hours a week over a six to eight week period. These short courses are designed to provide knowledge and skills across a wide range of topics including art, computers, wine appreciation, small business, languages and sport.
