Apprenticeships and traineeships - Information for supervising registered training organisations [PDF 273kb]
A guide for field officers, teachers and trainers of supervising registered training organisations to help them meet legislative requirements relating to training delivery services provided to apprentices, trainees and their employers. The guide includes a checklist that summarises the key responsibilities of staff throughout a student's apprenticeship or traineeship as well as an extensive list of useful contacts.

The Area guide by suburb assists Australian Apprenticeships Centres to determine the local office of the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts to which training contracts must be sent for registration.

Induction information (for mainstream apprenticeships and traineeships) [PDF 124kb]
This guide is provided for use by supervising registered training organisations and Australian Apprenticeships Centres in the delivery of induction information to employers, apprentices, and trainees entering apprenticeship and traineeship arrangements in Queensland. The guide provides information on the issues to be covered during induction and these issues should be seen as the minimum induction requirement. Individual supervising registered training organisations and Australian Apprenticeships Centres may choose to provide additional information.

This guide is used by supervising registered training organisations and Australian Apprenticeships Centres in delivering induction information to new employers, apprentices, and trainees in Queensland. Restricted callings list [PDF 14kb]
Restrictions apply to the rights of employers to employ staff under the age of 21 years in certain occupations, or 'callings'. Employers may not employ a person under the age of 21 years in occupations which appear on the restricted callings list, unless:

The Training and Employment Recognition Council has declared the occupations, or callings, to which this restriction applies, and these are shown in the restricted callings list.

Travel and Accommodation Allowance - Policy Statement and Guidelines [PDF 150kb]
Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts policy on providing financial assistance to apprentices and trainees who have to travel away from their usual workplace to attend training with their supervising registered training organisation.
