The Premier has announced a proposed pre-apprenticeship skills model of training to assist prospective apprentices during the economic decline.

User Choice is changing in 2010
User Choice provides public funding for traineeship and apprenticeship training. From 1 July 2010 the Queensland Government will make improvements to User Choice to provide greater flexibility for apprentices, trainees, employers and training providers.
New Annual Report
The 2008-09 Annual Report is now available. To improve reporting and meet our commitment to the environment, we have developed the department's first interactive, online Annual Report on the DET website.
